Lectotype designation for Hyla goughi Boulenger, 1911 (Anura: Hylidae: Hylinae) and its recognition as a valid species. pp. 480-486.

Abstract. Recently, Hyla goughi Boulenger, 1911, was considered a junior synonym of Dendropsophus microcephalus (Cope, 1886). However, this decision required a lectotype designation because the type series of Hyla goughi was composed of specimens of more than one species. Herein, we discuss which and how many specimens compose the type series and of those, the best suited to become the lectotype. At last, we select a lectotype and discuss the implications of  our choice.
Key words. Taxonomy, revalidation, Dendropsophus minutus group, South America, Dendropsophini.
